PM Arrives In Bhubaneswar, For 99th Indian Science Congress (ISC), Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived here Monday evening to inaugurate the 99th Indian Science Congress (ISC) Tuesday, an official said.

Odisha Governor M.C. Bhandare, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and leaders of the opposition Congress party received him at the Biju Patnaik Airport.

he prime minister will spend the night at the Raj Bhavan, the official residence of state governor. He is scheduled to inaugurate the 99th Indian Science Congress (ISC) at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University complex here Tuesday.

He is also expected to visit the Congress office here Tuesday before flying back to Delhi. Police said all security arrangements are in place.

A thick security blanket had been thrown in and around the airport, while security personnel were positioned on both sides of the roads leading to Raj Bhavan. The prime minister will inaugurate the Science Congress at KIIT University campus tomorrow. 

The Congress, being hosted jointly by KIIT and National Institute of Science Education and Research, will be attended by some 15,000 delegates from across the globe.
