Sprint Users The Hot New HTC EVO 4G LTE Will Hit Stores
After a delay in customs, the EVO 4G LTE is now officially cleared and will be available in Sprint stores on June 2nd. That’s right, this Saturday you’ll be able to walk into a Sprint store and claim the hot new handset for yourself.
Essentially a tweaked HTC One X, the Evo 4G LTE is a powerful handset that should do the likes of the Evo 4G and EVO 3D proud. It may not be anywhere near as sexy as the One X but it still packs a punch in the hardware department, along with some features we’d come to expect from the EVO line.
The phone was originally scheduled to hit the U.S. on May 18, but it was stopped at customs over a patent dispute with Apple. HTC said that the Evo 4G LTE and One X Android smartphones made it through the review process on Tuesday.
Sprint Users, The Hot New HTC EVO 4G LTE, Will Hit Stores |
The Evo 4G LTE is the successor to the incredibly popular Evo 4G, which was one of Sprint’s best-selling phones ever. The 4G LTE model ups the ante on its predecessor by running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and featuring a 4.7-inch LCD display, a 1.5-GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera with HTC’s powerful Image Sense technology.
Sprint will begin selling HTC EVO 4G LTE for $199.99 in most retail channels this Saturday, June 2. Sprint retail stores will operate on regular business hours," said Sprint, in a statement on company's community page. "We are excited to see our customers enjoying this latest generation of the award-winning EVO family."
We reviewed the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE but other future owners were not that lucky; due to an ITC import ban, the phone has been delayed because of Customs' reviews but luckily has been recently released. Some of those who have pre-ordered the device already got their units with a treat but now Sprint is telling everyone about in-store availability. "The next few days" is what Sprint estimates for in-store availability but an exact date has not yet been announced.
