Communication with the qualification as it upheld over Australia was completed again upon Thursday, though not all of the commands stirred the response.

Phobos-Grunt was launched dual weeks ago upon the goal to revisit the single of Mars’ moons, though became stranded in Earth orbit.

Engineers still goal to repair the examine and get the goal underneath way.

ESA's teams of flight dynamics technicians, who calculate the orbits, and the operational center staff, who actually send up the signal, had been helping to try to communicate with the Russian probe for the past 10 days, said Bernhard von Weyhe a spokesman for ESA, based at its operational headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany.

Engineers fought desperately on Wednesday to save Russia’s Phobos-Grunt spacecraft after the Martian probe sent “a first sign of life” more than two weeks after being stranded in orbit.

After days of frustrating silence, contact with the probe was made on Tuesday at a European Space Agency ground station in Perth, Western Australia, the Paris-based ESA said.

“ESA teams are working closely with engineers in Russia to determine how best to maintain communication with the spacecraft,” it said.
