IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) the formal body of recruitment and selection of personnel in Indian Public sector banking institutions has officially opened the clerical cadre recruitment 2013 (CWE Clerical Clerks- III). This written examination will allow candidates to be a part of India various reputed public sector banking institution on clerk position.

Educational Qualification: To apply for the CWE Clerk III candidate must possess degree (graduation) or equivalent in any discipline from a university under UGC.

BOSTON (AP) — Longtime Boston Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy said Saturday he could not describe his "disgust and remorse" over allegations his son fatally stabbed his girlfriend a day after being released from custody for allegedly assaulting her.

On Wednesday, Remy had been released on personal recognizance in an open assault and battery case in which Martel was the alleged victim, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said. There was no active restraining order against him, she said.

Remy has a violent criminal history, including a total of 15 criminal charges since 1998, according to Waltham court records. He has been accused of assaulting five people — including four women.

The elder Remy released the statement through his official Twitter account, marking his first public reaction after his son allegedly killed Martel. Jared Remy allegedly stabbed the woman a day after he was released from custody in a separate assault case against the victim.

Jared Remy, 34, pleaded not guilty in Waltham District Court on Friday on charges of murder and domestic assault and battery in the killing of Martel, 27.

In court, prosecutors described a brutal and determined attack, saying Jared Remy assaulted Martel in the kitchen, living room, on a stairway and then pinned her to the ground in the patio where he stabbed her several times. At least one neighbor who tried to help Martel was driven back when Remy slashed at him, a prosecutor told a judge in court.

Jerry Remy is a former Red Sox second baseman who has been a color analyst on team broadcasts on the New England Sports Network since 1988. He has struggled with health problems in recent years. NESN announced Friday that he will be off the air through next weekend.

Jerry Remy released the statement through is official Twitter account, marking his first public reaction after his son allegedly killed Martel. The younger Remy allegedly stabbed the woman a day after he was released from custody in a separate assault case against the victim.

Well sort of. Motorola today unveiled the Moto X, the first smartphone made after Google announced it was acquiring the company almost exactly two years ago. To be available initially in the US for $199 with a two-year contract and in Canada and Latin America (sorry, no word on India launch but we’d suggest not holding your breath for it), the Moto X aspires to be the iPhone of the Android world.

For a touch-free experience, users can simply use the command “OK Google Now” even when the phone is in sleep mode that wakes it up and will initiate Google Now. The phone’s information display also turns on when the user picks it up or takes it out from the pocket to display the time and notification icons.

The Conjuring is a 2013 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. The film, starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as Ed and Lorraine Warren, is based on a true story, and follows paranormal investigators who come to the assistance of the Perron family (Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor), who are experiencing increasingly disturbing events in their farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island in 1971.

The Conjuring is the latest in a long line of horror films "based on a true story". But some are truer than others, written by Chris Bell.

With its thrifty $20m budget, James Wan's paranormal thriller is this summer’s sleeper hit – a feat no doubt boosted by its bold poster claim: "based on the true case files of the Warrens." The Warrens in question being paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine, who founded the New England Society for Psychic Research in 1952.

The Saw franchise, and even the repugnant Human Centipede movies seem to pride themselves on just how many times you have to turn away in sheer disgust at what's unfolding on screen. It takes a film as old fashioned and as classically structured as "The Conjuring" to remind us that it's the little things that can deliver the biggest scares.

Director James Wan, who gave us the first Saw film, uses the camera niftily to create an eerie sense of foreboding, and employs music and sound effects shrewdly to heighten the shock. It's true we've seen creaking floorboards and dusty basements a thousand times before, but he knows just how to exploit them for maximum effect. I'm not easily scared, but more than once during 'The Conjuring' I found myself jumping in my seat.

No doubt, Wan’s decision to create a horror film devoid of overblown special effects harks back to Guillermo Del Toro who introduced 'The Orphanage and Mama' to audiences, proving that you don’t need brutality and bump in the dark clichés to frighten the audience.  'The Conjuring' takes cues from both those films and even Wan’s previous movie Insidious and offers nonstop delicious mayhem.

The online registration for Common Admission Test 2013 (CAT 2013) to Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs) and over 130 premium B schools in the country started on Monday.

The registration started on August 5 will continue till September 26.

This year, vouchers can be purchased electronically apart from procuring it from some branches of Axis bank. 

CAT 2013 Schedule:

Release of Advt: 28th July 2013

5th August 2013 To 24th September 2013

Registration Window:

5th August 2013 To 26th September 2013

Test Dates:

16th October 2013 To 11th November 2013

Results: 14th January 2014

The official website of CAT www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in will provide the aspiring candidates with information including on various programs, details on registration process, eligibility criteria and list of non-IIM members institutions. 

CAT 2013 will be conducted over a period of 20 days, from October 16 to November 11, 2013, in Pro-metric test centers across 40 cities. The results will be announced on January 14, 2014.

Cat Examination Fees:

The voucher costs Rs 1600 for general and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, and Rs.800 for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and physically disabled candidates.

"The students will be required to fill the voucher details, educational history, mark sheets, work experience details and the list of Indian Institute Of Management ( IIM ) programs they will be applying for," the statement said.

CAT 2013 will have only two sections:

quantitative ability and data interpretation and verbal ability and logical reasoning.

The examination will be of 140-minute duration, and the candidates will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section, which will have an on-screen countdown timer.

According to  Rohit Kapoor, professor IIM Indore, conveyor  CAT 2013, IIMs give students an opportunity to pursue their career through a personally and professionally-enriching experience.

Required Education Qualifications:

A candidate should posses a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a Second Class in the Bachelor’s Degree or Ph.D., D.Sc., D.Litt., M.Phill and M.litt. with at least 50 % marks in Master’s Degree with a 2nd class in the Bachelor’s Degree . 

Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall posses a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% of marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd class in the Bachelor’s Degree .

Application Fee:

Candidates of SC / ST / PWD are exempted to pay the fee and for all other candidates Rs. 300/- have to pay in the form of challan and should be paid at any SBI branch.

Pay scale:

Selected candidates will be given the pay band of Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.4600 /-

Essential Educational Qualification:

(a) Graduate from recognized University.

(b) 10th or 12th Standard Examination passed with English as One of the Subjects.

Note:

Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications / Operations (As per requirements of G.R. No.CRR-10-2007-120320-G.5, dtd. 13/08/2008, G.A.D., Government of Gujarat).

Age Limit:

(a) A Candidate for appointment to the said post, should have completed 18 years of age and should not be more than 35 years of age, as on the date of Advertisement i.e. 28/06/2013.

(b) Employees working in the Subordinate Courts or any other High Court, shall be allowed on a uniform basis, relaxation of a maximum period of 5 years or to the extent of equal number

of years for which Service has been put in by him/her, whichever is less, in the Upper Age Limit.

(c) Relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit shall be admissible to the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Physically Disabled and Ex-servicemen categories. Sr. No. Category Born between (inclusive both days)

FEES AND MODE OF PAYMENT:

(a) Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Socially & Educationally Backward Class & Physically Disabled Persons are required to pay Examination Fees of Rs.250/- plus the usual Bank Charges and all other Candidates are required to pay Examination Fees of Rs.500/- plus the usual Bank Charges. The candidates shall remit the same in the Current Bank Account No. 30725811785 with the State Bank of India, High Court Complex Branch, Ahmedabad, held in the name of Registrar General, High Court of Gujarat, Sola, Ahmedabad, through any of the Core Banking Service branches of the State Bank of India using the 'CASH VOUCHER' in the Special Format as appended to this Advertisement, from 08/07/2013 to 31/07/2013 during the Bank

Working Days and Hours.

(b) The concerned Bank Branch, will retain one Copy of the Challan and return the other two Copies to the Candidate. Candidates will have to preserve the said copies of the Challan and produce the same at the time of Viva-Voce Test (Oral Interview).

(c) 'On line' Application, submitted by Candidate, will be considered as 'Valid' Application, only after he/she remits the Examination Fees, as required in the State Bank of India (Core Banking Services Branches) concerned, before the stipulated closure time. 

(d) Fees paid by any other mode, will not be considered valid / accepted.

(e) Fees once remitted, into the concerned Account, shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

HOW TO APPLY:

(a) All eligible Candidates after payment of their respective Examination Fees in the Bank Account as mentioned in Para No. 4 above, should apply 'On-line', through the link provided in High Court Website www.gujarathighcourt.nic.in OR http://hc-ojas.guj.nic.in, in the prescribed format from 08/07/2013 to 31/07/2013.

(b) Candidates should have his/her own 'registered' Mobile Number and the same should be kept active during the entire recruitment process, as 'SMS' alerts for the Tests, are also likely to be notified on the Mobile Number, registered o the 'On line' Application.
