The scuffle happened when the actor and his entourage were stopped from going on to the ground after the match, which the Kolkata Knight Riders won. The MCA alleges that Shah Rukh was drunk.
The cricket association has lodged a police complaint and says it will also complain to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
“He seemed drunk when he came to the ground at the end of game with about 40 people. When the ground’s watchman tried to stop him, he started abusing him,” Savant told The Indian Express.
Savant said that he would take up the matter with the BCCI and demand strict action against the cine star who, he claimed, abused the security personal on duty.
