A special award honoring Outstanding Contribution to Indian Music – Flim went to legendary Indian composer, Pyarelal while carnatic vocalist M. Balamuralikrishna won the Outstanding Contribution to Indian Music – Classical. The Global Musician Honour was bestowed upon A. R. Rahman, a member of the internationally renowned band, Super Heavy alongside Mick Jagger.

Priyanka brought its singer Kavita Krishnamurthy on stage. Next up, Priyanka was joined on stage by National Award winner Rekha Bhardwaj, who came swaying in joy to her song "Genda phool", an adaptation of a folk song from Chhattisgarh.
